Deep Venous Thrombosis and Pulmonary Embolism
Deep Venous Thrombosis (DVT) and Pulmonary Embolism (PE) are serious conditions where blood clots form in the deep veins, often in the legs, and can travel to the lungs, causing severe complications. Symptoms may include swelling, pain, and redness in the affected leg, as well as shortness of breath and chest pain if a clot reaches the lungs.
