Idiopathic Generalized Epilepsy (IGE) is a type of epilepsy that causes recurrent seizures without a known cause, often presenting as generalized tonic-clonic seizures, which affect both sides of the brain.
BHV-7000 for Idiopathic Generalized Epilepsy
We are studying a new treatment for people with idiopathic generalized epilepsy who have generalized tonic-clonic seizures. The trial will compare its effects to a placebo to see if it helps reduce seizure frequency and is safe to use.

- Are you between 18 and 75 years old?
- Do you have a diagnosis of Idiopathic Generalized Epilepsy (IGE)?
- Have you had at least 3 generalized tonic-clonic (GTC) seizures in the last 16 weeks?
- Are you currently taking at least 1 anti-seizure medication (like Keppra, Lamictal, or Depakote)?
- Have you had any status epilepticus (seizures lasting longer than 5 minutes) in the last 6 months?
