Metastatic Breast Cancer
Metastatic breast cancer occurs when breast cancer cells spread beyond the breast to other parts of the body, such as the bones, liver, or lungs, often leading to more severe symptoms and requiring advanced treatment.
We are studying whether combining fulvestrant with palbociclib helps postmenopausal women with hormone receptor-positive metastatic breast cancer live longer without disease progression compared to fulvestrant alone. This trial is for women who have completed at least five years of hormonal therapy and remained disease-free for over a year, or who have newly diagnosed metastatic disease.
