We are investigating a new treatment for established status epilepticus in older adults. This study aims to provide evidence on how effective this treatment is for this vulnerable population.

- Are you 65 years old or older?
- Do you have ongoing seizures that last 5 minutes or longer or have had 2 or more seizures without full recovery for 5 minutes?
- Do you have severe liver disease, such as cirrhosis or severe liver problems?
- Are you currently taking any of these medications: phenobarbital, phenytoin, or carbamazepine?
- Do you have severe kidney disease (GFR less than 30 ml/min)?
